Microsoft Minecraft Series

Catholic Learning Online brings you a four webinar series for Minecraft: Education Edition from Microsoft. In this 4 part course, we will explore how Minecraft: Education Edition supports teaching and learning through a game-based interface that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in an immersive environment where the only limit is the learner’s imagination.

  • Understand the pedagogical applications of Minecraft: Education Edition in learning.

  • Learn skills to plan and create learning activities with Minecraft

  • Learn how to construct learning so that it meets your curriculum and learning goals

Success Criteria

Participants will know that they are successful...

  • Navigate Minecraft: Education Edition

  • Develop lesson plans that effectively and authentically integrate Minecraft into learning.

  • Produce some activities that they can use in their classroom.


iPad assistive features : Reaching All Learners

A one hour session [repeated]

More students are coming to school with a varying array of abilities. And Learning Support Staff are exploring new ways to not only support these learners, but to also personalise every student’s learning experience.

Join us to learn about tools and resources from Apple that allow all students to create, communicate, personalise and explore in new and powerful ways.

During this webinar you will:


• Explore the powerful assistive features built-in to iPad that can complement each learners’ vision, hearing, motor skills and learning needs


• Experience how with iPad, students can learn in ways that meet their own specific needs


As these sessions are hands on we recommend having your iPad with you to enjoy the interactive experience.

Google Fundamentals Series

Commences Thursday 17 June 3.30pm AEST

Our Google Fundametals Series is a professional learning opportunity that will support you through the Fundamentals course on the Google Teacher Training website. Based off the successful CLO Apple Teacher program, the Catholic Learning Online team along with Chris Betcher from Google will value add to the online resources by virtual check-ins and additional tips and ideas that you can take into your classrooms.

  • learn about a range of tools inside Google Workspace for Education and how they can be used to make teaching and learning more effective

Success Criteria

Participants will know that they are successful...

  • Understand how existing and future classroom tasks can be supported with technology

  • Identify ways in which technology can be used appropriately in ways that engage and support student learning

  • Apply the new knowledge to my local context

All of these sessions can be used as Professional Development hours. Please register them as Teacher Identified sessions via the eTams Portal
